Against the optics, for the environment

Remember when we recently told you about that little meeting where our heads turned into chimneys? Well, the adjustment of the shipping cost threshold is not the only change in our shop that we would like to inform you about.

plastic from the sea

Surely you know our philosophy of only using reusable products for our packaging. It is also important to us to avoid using plastic as much as possible. Did you know how much plastic is floating around in our oceans? Whole beaches are full of it. And what actually happens to all that plastic when it's collected? This is not simply swept up into a large mountain and left lying around. Instead, many beautiful new things emerge from it.

Against the optics, for the environment

For example, great jars with screw caps are made from it. As you know, we have always filled our slime in jars - except for the giveaways, which come to you in small aluminum cans. Of course, optically, the glasses win every competition. Nevertheless, we would like to become even more environmentally conscious from now on and have therefore decided on the jars made of OCEAN PLASTIC. This is recycled plastic waste collected near the coast.

As there is no way of knowing in advance what the plastic that will be collected for our new tins will look like, there may be slight color deviations in our slime jars from time to time. This turns each container into a one-off.

It's not about saving!

If you now think that this is about thrift, you are wrong. Because the new cans are even a little more expensive to buy than the previous glass cans, but in fact they now fit 30 ml more slime - and the prices of our slime remain the same. Maybe that's a small compensation for you.

We have also adjusted our labels. From now on, the cans will no longer be decorated with a single sticker, but with a pretty banderole. This gives you all the important information about the slime at a glance. In addition, you will always find a nice saying on it - let yourself be surprised.

Help the planet and especially the sea with all its diverse inhabitants to breathe more freely again.

Tony
